No the weft will not come apart when using a remover,Only the hair extension will come out and then you wash it and then trim down all your weft and re tape and reinstall :) ok hope this helps!

Hi, great question the only shedding that could happen is after you let it dry for 24 hrs and you brush it then a bit will shed due to not all the hair being glued or dried right when it was made. Because sometimes the glue doesn't adhere perfectly, sometimes due to keratin shampoos or silicone conditioner on hair that is hard to clean off :) ok I hope this helps www.hairwefting tape.com

Hi Rebecca so there is not enough adhesive on tape to not use more glue when wefting this amount of hair. If you used a tiny amount of hair it would work with no glue but I mean a tiny amount :) ok hope this helps!

After typing below, it occurred to me you could use pantyhose cut open to create your own lace “injection” extensions. Follow this video, but glue hairs into a cut line of pantyhose. If you’re extremely talented and have the correct tools (which I oddly do lol) you could even hand tie the hairs into the hose like the world’s tiniest latch hook rug. I recently saw someone make hairline (glue or tape could be used) extensions using a lace front closure and cutting into smaller pieces. Be cautious to select a lace the same or lighter than your skin. You can make it darker, but not lighter using makeup or dye.

Hi that is called a flat weft you can buy them already made if you like. I think I want to turn the extensions into clip-ons that I can use for special occasions, but not every day. Also, how long will such extensions last if I only use them once in a while? I'm hoping that they can last me until my old age in case I need them then, as right I'm still young so my hair is okay. Would hair extensions last decades if not worn often?

Hi @@therapturedmichelle what we always tell people is always make a test weft extension, but the fact your cutting off your own hair :( I would always suggest finding a company that will make a machined wefted hair extension for you using your own hair that you can trust and trust is KEY....or even better you could learn to sew it on a sewing machine this is where they sew your hair in one long line and it's done by a sewing machine and the reason we say this is once its been sewed it will last a lifetime :) especially if you make it into a clip-ins.... then sew your own clips to it. There are many people here on UA-cam that show you how they did it....But if you really want to try the tape-in method you can always just try our kit #2 either it has the single side tape you will need to do it. But first, always make a test weft extension using cheap store-bought hair you don't mind playing with before you use your own! I am not trying to talk you out of making tape-in hair extensions but I really want you to be happy in the end if you cut off your own hair... I just am being very honest because making extensions is hard for some and easy for others, but in the end, it's not store-bought hair it's your own hair and that's unreplaceable .........if it were me I wouldn't want to waste a single strand of my own hair trying to make a weft extension for the first time...its always a trail and error for some. Do you know of any? I do have a sewing machine and used to sew as a hobby, so I was planning on brushing up my skills and sewing the extensions myself. So if I sew all the hair I cut off into one long line, that will last a lifetime? How would I attach it to the hair on my head on the days I want to wear my one-long-line extensions? Hi Sara and I am happy you like this video and you can cut anything off a weft ..meaning if you glued it and it is not working / for you then yes, as long as you don't mind losing length.. otherwise, I would cut the hair /weft and roll out our specialty Hair Wefting Tape again add the glue making sure you use a blow dryer to help cure the adhesive and hairweftingtape.com/products/hair-wefting-tape-strong-bond and then add the glue and longer hair for the length you cut off and then add whatever hair you like :) that way you won't lose any length......... HI Sara so sorry to hear this but let me say that the only way it will not dry is if you closed your wefts while it was still wet/white ? did you use a blow dryer on the glue and wait til it was clear before closing your weft? if not then it will not dry due to this glue needs air to cure.. Hi Latisha and all tape has a shine no matter what any manufacture says due to what its made of, but if its double sided you can use your finger and tap it over and over again that helps a little to hide some shine due to the oils from your own fingers, others use a tiny bit of powders that help with shine on there face and skin and sometimes that helps to hide any double sided tape shine. I hope that helps even a little bit but I wish I could recomemend a tape out there that really is a non shine skin tape ..But if I ever find one I will for sure come back and let you know ok..www.hairweftingtape.com

yes they do have single sided tape replacement tapes i've seen at King's beauty supply . I buy the light skin colored ones for single sided installs for thin hair...

Hi Karen and yes you can use MH on any hairpiece and is a Matte clear color and all tape has a shine due to the carrier no matter what, and that's just being honest about all hair tapes, but you can always use your finger and tap on it just the oils from your fingers can take any shine off tape :), ok hope this helps! but we have many many customers who use this tape due to its really long-lasting hold, oh, and please know our tape is not a DAY TAPE ok it's for a long stronghold. www.hairwefting tape.com

You can but then you would need to cover that using our Seamless pro single side hair extension 1/2"x 3 yard tape. But its best to skip the double-sided unless your using a ton of hair and making a bulk thick weft when starting, then I would advise using our double sided hair WEFTING TAPE to make sure your have a great bond. But if your just covering up a already machine wefted extension then its easy and faster to just use our SINGLE SIDE tape then sew your added clips of your choice :) hope this helps!

Hi, Lucinda first I am very sorry for what you are going through 🙏and I am pleased to help you in any way I can. So yes! you can make a halo, but I do believe the string/fishing line would hurt the skin on your head after a bit of time due to it pulling. Here is what I suggest. When making your own single-side wefts using your own hair once done you can then add a glued-on felt or soft cloth on one side of the single-side tape that sits on your head, that way it would be very easy on your head, and very comfortable instead of a line/string hanging or pulling on your head after many hours, also if its hot it would feel better then a single side tape piece. So then on the other side that would stick to your hats just add some very thin velcro/ the kind that sticks, that would stick to the opposite side of the weft. And then by adding the holding side of the velcro to all your hats and on the other side of your hair extension weft you can just pull gently and that way you can wear different hats whenever you want. Also please I always suggest people use junk hair to make a test weft when first trying to make a hair weft extension it's always best to make a practice weft so you feel good about using your own hair when making a weft extension and not losing any of your own hair if you did it wrong. And as a tip please do not make a weft too thick !! due to any type of shedding because you don't want to lose any of your own hair. If you are still confused please email and I can show you some pictures of another customer who made her own wefts using her own hair for the same reason. Hi Rebecca good question but I am not really sure what you mean without looking at it, but as long as your track isn't too thick for your fine hair then using the single side is fine for sure to bond a double-sided tape together and doing a sandwich method install. I love using the single side on my side pieces and then glue on the weft to my hair for my back pieces and the reason I do that is it's really hard to see behind even with mirrors lol so a tiny amount of the Beta bond plus across my weft is how I install my wefts. I hope I helped you but really with out seeing the weft you're making it's hard to understand if I am answering your question right:)

I realized I can create a new weft under the original and then cut the top part off! I ordered Kit 2 already and I am going to try to use the Beta Bond to create them with the wefting tape. I was worried the glue would be more damaging than tape, but I am going to give your product a try on the west instead of doing single sided tape with the sandwich method! I’m looking forward to getting my order!

Our wefting tape is sticky on both sides and that's called double-sided tape, The white strip is called backing and it is a cover on the one sticky side so when you are done making your weft and then when you are ready to install it, you can then peel off the white backing and press it to your hair, ok hope this helps ..www.hairweftingtape.com

@@usmannaga No...You roll out your tape white side down, sticky side up, and add your glue then hair, heat with a blow drier then glue then hair, repeat then close your weft /hair extension pressing firmly together and wait for 24hrs to make sure its dry before install.
